Online registration for the 2020 CCO Summer Basketball season will open up on March 1st. Time to secure your child's spot is now! Registration is not complete until the printed registration documents and payment, in the form of a check or cash, are dropped off at the Cooper City Optimist Clubhouse Dropbox, located at 10500 Stirling Road in Cooper City.
It is important to drop off documents, in person , so that you may confirm the uniform (jerseyand shorts) sizes for your child.
In- Person Registration Drop-Off dates are:
Wednesdays April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 : 6PM-8PM @ the Cooper City Optimist Clubhouse (10500 Stirling Rd.)
Saturdays April 4, 11, 18 : 10AM-1PM @ the Cooper City Optimist Clubhouse (10500 Stirling Rd.)
A $25 Late fee will be assessed to any payment received after Wednesday, April 28th.
All registrations that have not been paid by April 28th are subject to a $25 late fee.
The registration fee is $175 for Cooper City residents and $205 for non-residents.
The fee covers: Uniform (jersey and shorts), 12 game season (indoors) plus 1 or more playoff games, season champion trophies, and participation awards for all divisions.
When do the games take place?
All games are played between Monday and Saturday beginning on 6/6 and the season championship is 8/1. Games may be played on a Sunday if it becomes necessary.
Are there playoffs?
Yes, Every team makes the playoffs. Playoff week will take place the week of July 26 and culminate in the championship games on August 1st.
When does the season begin and end?
The season begins on 6/6 and finishes on 8/1
Where are games played?
All games will be held at Cooper City High School, Pioneer Middle School, or Renaissance Charter Cooper City.

Are siblings placed on the same team?
YES, IF THEY BOTH FALL WITHIN THE AGE RANGE FOR THE DIVISION.
Do you honor carpool requests?
CARPOOL REQUESTS ARE HONORED FOR THE DEVELOPMENTAL DIVISION AND MAY BE HONORED FOR THE INSTRUCTIONAL DIVISION PROVIDED THE REQUEST DOES NOT ADVERSELY IMPACT THE COMPETITIVE BALANCE OF THE LEAGUE. CARPOOL REQUESTS ARE NOT HONORED AT ALL BEYOND THE INSTRUCTIONAL DIVISION. COACHES WILL BE NOTIFIED OF REQUESTS PRIOR TO THE DRAFT.
Is my payment refundable?
Refunds are only granted a week prior to evaluations and draft day (5/2). After that date, refunds will not be able to be obtained.
My child will be on vacation part of the summer, how much is too much of the season to miss?
IF YOUR CHILD WILL MISS MORE THAN 3 WEEKS OF THE SEASON, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU NOT REGISTER AND PLAY.
My child has never played before, is this league for him/her?
ABSOLUTELY. THIS IS A RECREATIONAL LEAGUE WITH MINIMUM PLAYING TIMES FOR EACH PLAYER. IT IS THE GOAL OF THE LEAGUE THAT EACH PLAYER LEARN THE GAME AND HAVE FUN.
